On behalf of the Board of Education and District Administrative Office staff, I welcome you to the Fort Zumwalt School District Web Site. It is our intent that the information presented will be useful to you and your family in becoming familiar with the Fort Zumwalt School District. Our staff encourages your participation in any of the activities or volunteer organizations for parents. The purpose of our Web Site is to serve as an overview of the Fort Zumwalt School District. The district is young, and it is one in which the community is growing. Growing with the community is unique in the Greater St. Louis and St. Charles County areas, where many districts are stable or declining in pupil enrollment. We want you to get to know us. We want you to learn about our history, our financial situation, and our educational programs. We want you to become acquainted with the faculty and administration, the curriculum and special programs they supervise, and the buildings which students occupy. At the same time, we would like the opportunity to get to know you. We encourage you to visit the buildings, classrooms and offices which are in your schools. With this background, the following Web Pages will serve as your introduction to the Fort Zumwalt School District. As questions or concerns arise during the year, please feel free to contact me or any of the administrative staff members in the school buildings. Sincerely,
BRAGGING RIGHTS The kindergarten, first, and second graders at J.L. Mudd Elementary School participated in a "Journey Back in Time" to see how people lived in the 1800's with many engaging hands-on activities. The students looked at dozens of artifacts and created some new ones of their own. There were numerous stations that the students visited where they could pan for gold, spin yarn, wash clothes, pump water, and play with old time toys. |
