The use of weighted grades could help raise the grade point average and the class rank of college-bound students and help those students in qualifying for scholarships and financial awards.
For all high school courses that are available for college credit, additional points on the grade point average scale can be earned for the grades of A, B, and C. The weight, per grade, is 1 additional point. Weighted grades for these courses are open only to Juniors and Seniors.
