A Message from the Principal

Greetings from St. Peters Elementary!

On behalf of the entire staff and student body of St. Peters Elementary School I would like to welcome you and thank you for joining us on our web site.

We consider it a great privilege and opportunity to participate in your child's education. Working together, we can provide an experience that will equip each student with the tools they will need to reach their potential. St. Peters Elementary has established itself as a school committed to bringing families and educators together into a cohesive team dedicated to providing children with a positive, stimulating environment where their educational, emotional, and social needs can be nurtured and developed. I hope it is evident that we welcome and value your input as we work toward the goal of creating a school where doing what is best for the students is our top priority.

If you have any comments or questions, or I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Harley Marshall, Principal

A Message from the PTC

The St. Peters Parent-Teacher Club meets the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. The Parent-Teacher Club is dedicated to the goal of working with the school to provide programs that increase student learning, support teachers, and equip parents to help their children succeed. We would like to extend an invitation to all interested parents to join us to make St. Peters Elementary the best it can be by making a positive impact on the educational lives of all the students.

What is PTC?

The Parent Teacher Club is an organization that strives to enrich and enhance the education of our students. By holding several fundraising events each year, we are able to donate educational items that touch the lives of all our students. Our entire budget comes from the fundraising events listed below, and all proceeds go back to the school.

The PTC also organizes volunteers to serve as room parents and school helpers throughout the year.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES

PE/HEALTH is the primary area concerned with developing and maintaining students' optimal health, fitness, physical skills, and safety. We teach health concepts that promote an active healthy balance between leisure and work.

On the elementary level we emphasize the following:

Some of the children's favorite activities include:

All children are encouraged to get on their "TRY-"cycle and have FUN in their Physical Education class.

Welcome to the Library/Media Center

Glenda Hauser
Library Media Specialist

Sandy Shultz
Library Clerk

You are invited to visit the most exciting room in the school. Did you know you can find adventure, fantasy, mystery, world records, fast cars, huge dinosaurs, and wild animals in the library? The library is an exciting place where students and staff can use books to discover the world of knowledge.

The goal of the library is to help students develop a love of reading. Students attend weekly library classes where they check out books and learn through library skill lessons. Students may also exchange books during extra check-out times.

At St. Peters Elementary School we encourage students and teachers to use the library for research. Teachers and students accomplish this goal through books, reference materials, computers, multi-media carts, and the Internet.
